Early Years Welcome
Welcome to Ambleside Early Years Academy. We pride ourselves in excellent quality early years provision and teaching. Our large early years environment has had extensive improvements with the children and local community we serve at the heart of our offer, which is underpinned by our school values of ambition, curiosity, empathy, respect, resilience, confidence and kindness.
Children begin their journey with us in our well-equipped nursery, offering both morning and afternoon sessions alongside our 30-hour free childcare provision. Our nursery staff carefully plan sessions to meet the needs of all children and families, tailoring the curriculum carefully to help best prepare our youngest children for the next stage of their education journey.
As children move into reception, they are met with Early Excellence resources which provide opportunities for all children to gain vital independence skills whilst applying the knowledge they learn during daily direct teaching sessions. Our children achieve a high level of development in reading, writing and math, which ensures that the transition into Key Stage 1 is smooth, and the children are confident learners.
